Borrelia burgdorferi
Due to the overuse of antibiotics, bacteria have mutated. These bacilli were from a polyp in the small intestine of the lyme patient. The macroscopic (visible to the naked eye) size was quite a surprise. After about two months of treatment the colony of bacteria just seemed to let go and the specimens were found floating in the toilet. These were the first to be put under the microscope and the adventure began. From bacteria to nematomorphs, we were consumed with the discoveries. Creatures were dying. So desperate to leave the body, they literally came out of the skin, ears, eyes, from under the tongue, and in the urine and stool.
